Poster Contest

Public Speaking Contest

• Any Marion County student 6th – 12th grade

• First place advances to the area competition & receives a traveling stipend
Land Judging
Registration Due: January 8
Date: January 29
Contest will be held in conjunction with Levy, Gilchrist and Dixie Soil & Water Conservation Districts and held in Dixie County.
- Any Marion County 4-H & FFA members
- Monetary prizes given for 1st & 2nd in both, 4-H & FFA
- Ribbons given for 3rd in both, 4-H & FFA
- First place in 4-H & FFA advances to state & receives a traveling or registration stipend
Conservation Landscape Trays
Entry Form Due: November 13
Date: February 19

- Any Marion County 4-H and FFA members
- Monetary prizes and ribbons given for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each division: junior, intermediate, senior, and group
- For a minimal deposit, trays can be borrowed through our office; please call to arrange for this service: (352) 438-2475.
Important information regarding the trays:
- Trays must be dropped off in the SEYF Rec Hall on February 17 between 2:30 PM to 6 PM.
- Trays must be picked up on February 27 between 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

Central Florida Regional Envirothon Contest
Registration Due: Contact District if interested in Competition
Date: March 25, 2021
Time: TBA, usually 9 AM to 3 PM
Location: Hickory Point, Tavares
The Central Florida Regional Envirothon is a hands-on, environmental, problem-solving competition for middle and high school students.
Topic: Water Resources Management: Local Control and Local Solutions
- Marion County students 6th – 12th grade
- Awards given to top winning teams in each of the five divisions
- Overall winning high school team advances to state
- Overall winning team displays a traveling trophy at their school for a year

Besides our winning contestants receiving awards for our annual contests, the Teacher(s), Volunteer and Youth Conservationist of the Year with all be given monetary awards and plaques.
